Record label-come-helpline 0800-MOSHI-MOSHI brought us Vanity Fairy's dazzling disco-tinged track 'He Can Be Your Lady', just last month. Back with a promising new offering from Canterbury-based duo NU GARCON, 'Do What You Love' is an encouraging lo-fi nugget that'll prompt you to believe in yourself and follow your dreams. Consisting of long-term friends and collaborators Tony Onuchukwu and Bruno Burton, the pair's sound is nostalgic (think East 17) and earnest. Shedding light on their identity as a musical prospect, Tony explained: “There’s a kind of naivety to our approach - and in the songs themselves...A lack of polish or gloss, a simplicity, a refusal of ‘cool-ness’. But it’s mixed in with a sort of maturity. Both of us have been round the block as musicians. We are older than we were… and I think this has an impact on the music.” 'Do What You Love' is the lead track from NU GARCON's debut EP Only One You, due out on the 25th of June. -Holly Mullineaux
